Climate-Smart Agriculture Expert
Edna Andeyo Abasi is a Green and Climate Smart Expert, Senior Agriculture and Food Security Advisor and Curriculum Development Consultant. Edna Abasi brings over 10 years of experience advancing climate-smart agriculture, sustainable food systems, green agribusiness and food security. Her work spans academia, development organizations and the private sector, combining technical expertise with practical programme design and implementation to build resilient agricultural systems and sustainable enterprises. Edna currently serves as an Expert supporting the Green Finance for Youth Employment Programme (IFAD-AGRA-PES), Senior Food Security Programme Advisor to the East African Children's Fund and Curriculum development Consultant with Private Equity Support. She is pursuing a PhD in Agronomy, with research focused on AI-driven crop yield prediction, soil quality and climate adaptation. She brings extensive experience supporting programmes funded and implemented by leading development partners, including IFAD, AGRA, USAID and KOICA, contributing to sustainable agriculture, food security and climate-resilient development across Africa.
